⚠️ Installation: This lock replaces your existing deadbolt. It requires your door to have a standard hole. It does not replace the door handle or knob, only the top security deadbolt. Installation takes only about 15 minutes with a screwdriver. 😊
Frequently Asked Questions about the Yale Assure SL
What happens if the batteries run out and I'm locked out?
The lock will notify you weeks before they run out. If you ignore them and it completely dies, there are two terminals below the keypad. Touch them with a square 9V battery to provide temporary power, enter your code, and get in.
Do I need to buy the Wi-Fi bridge separately?
Not with this model (CBA). This kit includes the August smart module and the Wi-Fi Connect bridge to plug into the wall, so it comes ready to connect to the internet.
Can I still use my current handle?
Yes. This lock only replaces the deadbolt part (the security key). Your handle or knob below remains the same.
