Frequently Asked Questions about Starlink Gen 3
Does the antenna move by itself like the previous version?
No. This new generation (V3) eliminated the motors. It rests on a kickstand-style support and must be aimed manually only once using the on-screen guide in the Starlink app.
Do I have to buy the Ethernet Adapter separately?
Not anymore! That was a common complaint with Generation 2. The new Gen 3 router now has two integrated network (LAN) ports on the back.
Can I install it on my house roof?
Yes, but the kit only includes the kickstand for flat surfaces such as the ground, a table, or a flat roof. If you need to mount it on a sloped roof or wall, you will need to purchase official mounting accessories separately.
